R. Kelly's Alleged Fiancee' Reports that They've Welcomed a Baby Girl. His Lawyer Says Different!
Well, it looks like R. Kelly is releasing a little more than music from prison. According to his fiancee', Joycelyn Savage, he's the proud new papa to a brand new baby girl.
Savage posted a picture of a newborn to her social media account with the caption "Ava Lee Kelly 12-08-22" and another post expressing her love for her daughter saying:
"My baby girl Ava when you were born , my whole world shined so bright. I knew that it was no longer about me anymore it was about us . Though the world is cold , I promise to always protect you . I am so happy to be your mother & you bring me so much joy."
The Jasmine Brand got the scoop reporting that Kelly's lawyer is refuting the claims that he is indeed the baby's father. When Savage initially announced her pregnancy with a sonogram photo, and claiming Kelly to be the father, his lawyer. Jennifer Bonjean, said “There is no truth to reports that Joy is releasing a tell-all memoir and she is certainly not pregnant with R. Kelly’s child. People are just insane. Carry on.”
Well, that was back in August when the child was still in the womb and almost everyone thought Savage was lying. Now, there's a whole baby out here and Savage claims she's the mother and Kelly is the father. How, you ask, can he father a child if he's been incarcerated for over a year? Savage says that they were trying to conceive before he was locked up.
Savage claims that the couple were actively trying to have a baby via nontraditional methods. “His lawyer didn’t know that prior to him going to jail. Robert and I were doing IVF because at the time I was told I couldn’t have a baby…"
“Once his lawyer did find out, she wanted me to have an abortion because she didn’t feel that now was the time for me to have a child following the 30-year sentence. Me and Robert wanted to have a child for a long time. He is very happy about it, his lawyer isn’t. Once I told her I was keeping my baby, she didn’t want me to announce but I wanted to share the news. I’ve always been there for him even before this new lawyer came into the picture.”
If his lawyer, or anyone else, suggested that she terminate her pregnancy, that's just sick. No matter what the timing is, Savage desperately wanted to be a mother and, it's her right to do so. Even if the public doesn't approve.
Savage has posted two newborn photos of the baby on her Instagram account but no photos of her with the baby. Some are speculating that the baby isn't even hers because there are no pictures of her pregnant or of her with the baby. Either way, congratulations are in order. . . to someone.
