Man Convicted for 2018 Murder of His Wife Member of "Broke, Busted and Disgusted" Pastor's Church.

The family of a Kansas City woman who was murdered in 2018 is finally getting some justice for her death. Tanisha Harris, 38, was found dead January 8, 2018 after allegedly having an argument with her husband 30-year-old Robert Lee Harris.

According to reports, the couple had reportedly been married just 18 months before Harris was murdered. According to the Associated Press, the police responded to the couple’s home on the 8000 block of Perry Street to investigate a “domestic disturbance” around 4 p.m. to find Robert Lee Harris home alone. The police returned to the couple’s home after Mrs. Harris was reported missing by Mr. Harris several hours later. Her body was later found in Raymore, Missouri.

The Christian Post reported that Mr. Harris had been in a romantic relationship with Steven Junior. Junior testified in court about his relationship with the pastor. He also admitted to the affair in a YouTube video.

In the video, dated 3 years ago, Steven Junior goes on a rant (beginning around the 3 minute mark) where he vents to his live audience about being the only one who stood up for Tanisha by standing up in court to say what he believes Robert did. He went on to call out others who had been in a relationship with Robert and knew how he was but they never said a word to help Tanisha's family get justice.

He said he felt like he was being targeted because he stood up to say "this woman should not have lost her life" and that he stood up because he wanted justice "for this woman" and he felt some kind of way "about this woman being taken". Junior calls out everyone who portrayed to be Tanisha's friend when everybody knew what "Robert was doing" and he alleges that Tanisha knew about Robert's sexuality before they got married.

During the video, close to the ten minute mark, Junior appears to be confronted by a police officer because he's outside talking loudly. Junior does calm his tone but, he doesn't stop telling his story. This is a tangled web of deceit, lies and unholy matrimony.

The couple were also members of the church lead by pastor Carlton Funderburke, who called his congregation “broke, busted and disgusted” for not “honoring” him with a Movado watch and asking if he was worth “Red Lobster money?” “That’s how I know you’re still poor, broke, busted and disgusted because of how you’ve been honoring me,” said

Funderburke. “I’m not worth your McDonald’s money? I’m not worth your Red Lobster money? I ain’t worth your St. John Knits? Y’all can’t afford it no how.”

According to records, Funderburke married the couple and spoke about them shortly after Tanisha's murder saying “They were a loving couple,” said Funderburke. “They were very involved, very engaged, active in the community of the church. These were not regular attendees or regular parishioners. They’re part of the background of what we do as a ministry. … It’s very shocking.”

While there has been no motive as to why Robert killed Tanisha, Junior alleges it was for money and not because she found out some secret.

Harris has been convicted of first-degree murder and is awaiting sentencing on November 3rd.
