Kentucky Woman Found Dead in Her Apartment. Toddler Had Been Left Alone with Her Body for 3 Days!

A Kentucky family has been shattered beyond repair after their daughter was found dead last week in her own apartment.

Michelle Stone says that her daughter, 23-year-old Kierra Stone-Gonzalez, hadn't been in contact with her for a few days and her "mother's hunch" told her that something "was not OK". Stone drove to her daughter's apartment and found a scene no parent should ever have to see.

"The door was unlocked," said Michelle Stone. "The first thing I noticed when I opened the door was her hands were purple."

Then she said she heard the screams of Kierra's 2-year-old daughter, who was left inside the home with her mother's dead body.

Authorities told Stone that her daughter, who suffered a gunshot wound to the head, had been dead for at least three days by the time she found her. That revelation sparked more questions from Stone. Questions that provoked an intense investigation.

"What I find crazy about that is, they (the killer) didn't kill my granddaughter (Kierra's daughter)," said Michelle Stone. "She (Kierra's daughter) didn't have any poop or pee stains on her or in the house. So, we knew that someone had been there the three days taking care of her, with the mama's body right there on the floor. My question is, how can you take care of my granddaughter and not call the police, when you see that her mother was dead?"

Right now there are no suspects in this homicide but Stone says the investigators aren't the only ones looking. She says she's committed to finding her daughters killer, even if it's the last thing that she does.
