DC Woman, Who Said She Threw Away Dead Newborn Son, Allegedly Stabbed to Death by Baby's Father!
The sad case surrounding the disappearance of baby Kyon Jones has taken a shocking turn for the worse. Back in 2021 we reported that little Kyon Jones had gone missing from the Washington D.C. area under suspicious circumstances. Kyon's mother, LaDonia Boggs, told media outlets at the time that he had died in his sleep and that she "threw away" the baby's body after she woke up to find him dead.
She claimed that the baby had been asleep on her chest but slid off and she had rolled over on him durning the night.
“He was ‘sleep on my chest and when I woke up, he wasn’t breathing anymore, because he was just that small. He was only 2 months old. He was a premature baby,” she said.
Boggs said she panicked and felt afraid.
“I came back in the house and got a blanket and his car seat, and wrapped it up and took it outside and just throwed it in the trash,” she said.
That was a story that no one seemed to believe but, with his body no where to be found, Boggs was only charged with tampering with evidence and was awaiting trial. Now, her family is waiting to bury her.
Boggs, 39, was found stabbed to death in the doorway of an apartment in the 1500 block of Benning Road NE just before 3 a.m.
Carl Jones, 44, of Northeast D.C., is charged with second degree murder while armed, authorities said. Jones is the father of Boggs' missing, and presumed dead, baby.
Detectives said the crime was "domestic in nature" and that the investigation is still ongoing. At this time, there has been no motive given.
