Family of Murdered Pregnant Woman Say She Knew Her Killer but There Have Been No Arrests.

32-year-old Keierra McNeil was murdered last week in Memphis, Tennessee.

McNeil was six months pregnant with her first child and excited about being a new mom. On last Thursday, August 20, McNeil was gunned down in her car in a Walgreen's parking lot.

McNeil's family became concerned when their calls went unanswered so they used the iPhone feature "Find My Phone" to locate her. When they followed the signal to the store they were shocked to find a crime scene.

Police said the suspect is a man who was last seen in a white GMC SUV.

The family, as well as the police handling the investigation, believe that McNeil and her killer knew each other.

The family insist that McNeil went to the Walgreen's at 9028 Walnut Grove that night to meet up with the father of her unborn child.

They told FOX13 the two were estranged and McNeil was planning to raise the baby herself.

“There had not been communication until the last two weeks of her life and he wanted to meet to discuss co-parenting,” said a family member.

Police are still investigating and the family is begging the community to say something if they know anything.

“This has happened to our loved one and it can definitely happen again, and we want to stop him now. This person does not need to be lose in the community he just does not,” said one of McNeil’s aunts. “and if he did it to one, he can do it again and we don’t want anyone to ever have to go through this experience.”

Just over 3,500 women and girls in the United States were killed in 2015.

More than half of the women were killed died at the hands of intimate partners, usually current or former boyfriends or husbands. And 15 per cent of those women were pregnant.

Statistics say that 1 in 4 women and 1 in 9 men experience severe intimate partner physical violence. This is one too many. We've got a problem amongst our camp that only we can solve.
