Teen, Previously Reported Missing, Found Safe. Suspect Still on the Loose. Additional Suspect Arrested and Charged.
Just a day after she was reported missing, 15-year-old Ronique Channel Poteat was found safe.
Police say that the suspect 23-year-old Tyrell Davenport, previously reported to be Poteat's step brother but believed now to be her half brother, is still at large.
Poteat was found to be a passenger in a vehicle during a traffic stop on Interstate 95 South near the exit onto Chamberlayne Avenue. The driver of the vehicle, was a woman, who is said to be familiar to Poteat.
Officers with the Henrico County Police Division have arrested and charged Earleecha Williams, of Highland Springs with the following:
Contributing to the delinquency of a minor
Accessory after the fact in a felony
Obstruction of justice
Abduction of a minor
The Henrico County Police Division are still searching for Davenport who at the time of his disappearance was described as standing 6 foot tall and weighs approximately 145 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark blue sweatshirt, dark blue jeans, and black Timberland boots.
