Rapper Magoo, Best Knows as Half of Timbaland & Magoo, Has Died at 50.

Virginia based rapper Magoo has reportedly died. Magoo, whose real name is Melvin Barcliff, was one half of the rap duo Timbaland & Magoo with super producer Timbaland.

The pair shot to fame with their collaborations with every single song still holding a spot in the heart of their fans.

The news broke hours ago of Magoo's passing with many rushing to social media to share their condolences. Former collaborator, Ginuwine, took to social media to express his condolences saying in part " totally one of the best ever in my eyes always pressing forward I know we didn’t talk alot but the love was and will be always there my brotha . . ."

Magoo and Timbaland both hailed from Norfolk, Virginia, and first met when they were teenagers before going on to take the music industry by storm.

They released their debut album Welcome to Our World in 1997 which spawned their highest-charting single Up Jumps da Boogie.

They released two more albums Indecent Proposal in 2001 and Under Construction, Part II in 2003 - a sequel to pal Missy Elliot's album from the previous year.

Sources are saying that Magoo passed after suffering a heart attack but that has not been confirmed.

We are praying for his family and loved ones.
