R&B Singer, Jazmine Sullivan, Announces the Death of Her Mother, Pam Sullivan.

Famed R&B singer, Jazmine Sullivan, has announced the passing of her mother. The singer's mom had faced a battle with breast cancer in recent years. A battle, the singer says, made them closer. When Pam Sullivan was first diagnosed in 2019, Jazmine said:

"Obviously you appreciate people more if you even think that you could lose them, but I've been able to reciprocate the love and support that she's given me all my life back to her. And I'm so fulfilled doing that."

At the BET Awards in June, Sullivan nabbed the Album Of The Year trophy for the acclaimed Heaux Tales, and brought her mom on stage with her to accept the honor. For the vocal powerhouse, being able to support Pam through all of this has been a gift. "There's nothing more special than being there for somebody when they need you," she explains. "And I'm so happy that I've had the opportunity to do it."

The pair had become inseparable lately, like most mothers and daughters would, knowing that there was a threat to their union. That threat was realized over the weekend.

The "Lost One" singer took to social media to post a throwback, childhood, photo of her mother with the caption:

"I don’t have the words yet mommy. So for now I’ll say thank you thank you thank you. Rest now butterfly 🦋

10/26/58- 07/22/23 💔"

As someone who has been in the "motherless" club for almost 3 years, my heart goes out to Jazmine and her family.

No amount of sickness or preparing can make the transition of your mother any less hurtful.
