"Poor Things" Rakes Up Oscar Nominations and Danielle Brooks Gets Her First Nomination for "The Color Purple".
Actors Zazie Beetz and Jack Quaid announced the 96th Oscars® nominations today (January 23), live from the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater via a global live stream on Oscar.com, Oscars.org and the Academy’s digital platforms, an international satellite feed and broadcast media.
The 2023 film "Poor Things" racked up a ton of nominations followed closely by "Barbie" and "Oppenheimer". The one we were waiting for was Best Supporting Actress and. . . we got exactly what we wanted. Danielle Brooks for her poortrayal of Sofia in "The Color Purple"!
