Police Chief Says "I’ve been doing this for two and a half decades, and I have never seen anything this gruesome” When Woman Stabs Baby AS IT'S BEING BORN!

A South Carolina woman has been arrested and charged after she reportedly stabbed her newborn son AS HE WAS BEING BORN!

Details in the arrest warrnant state that An T. Ngo, 31, went into labor and gave birth to a baby boy on March 7th. While the baby was in the process of being born, Ngo allegedly began stabbing the emerging baby with a "long, metal letter opener." The crime didn't stop there. After the baby was born, Ngo cut his umbilical cord and then began stabbing him again.

Police say that Ngo wrapped the newborn's body in plastic and placed him in another room of the house.

It is unclear who called the authorities but, the newborn was declared dead at the scene and Ngo was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. After a four day hospital stay, Ngo was taken into police custody when she was released from the hospital on March 11th.

Ngo then made her first court appearance at Easley Municipal Court that same day, where records show that she was charged with homicide by child abuse and denied bail by the judge in the case.

The Easley Police Department held a news conference on Tuesday to discuss the case,

“I’ve been doing this for two and a half decades, and I have never seen anything this gruesome,” said Police Chief Brandon Liner. “I’ve never seen anything this bad.”

Ngo does not appear to have a lawyer at this time.

No one has said what Ngo's motive was in the murder of her son or whether there were other family members present at her home during the time of the incident.
