Ohio Man Murders Girlfriends 2 Children, Another in Critical Condition, While She was Away!

A Toledo, Ohio man shot and killed two of his girlfriend's children during an argument Friday evening. Police were called to an apartment building in the 800 block of Byrneport Drive, February 5, on reports of a shooting. Toledo police officers arrived and found three boys inside the apartment, all suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The children were treated at the scene before being taken to the hospital.

The suspect, 27-year-old Kevin Moore, was arrested at the scene. Moore is the boyfriend of the children's mother. The boys' mother, Crystal Marie Andrews, was uninjured.

According to a post on social media that Andrews made, she was not home at the time of the assaults as she was helping her mother with a moving truck. She said she came home and discovered her children shot.

Ahmir Phillips, 5, and Gabriel Phillips, 1, died at the hospital. Ashton Phillips, 4, remains in critical condition, with Toledo police saying he "continues to fight for life." Ashton Phillips is said to be undergoing surgery this morning. Reports say that the child can't talk but he can hear and move his legs. Doctors told the children's father, Jaquail Phillips, that a bullet had shattered Ashton's jaw. "They can't put it back together til the swelling from the bullet going in goes away," added Phillips.

The children's mother has not said what she believes was the motive behind her boyfriend killing her children. No matter what his motive was, no matter why he chose to do this, THERE IS NO VALID REASON TO EVER KILL CHILDREN.

Mothers, please, we're begging you, PLEASE stop leaving your children with just anybody. Yes, he might be a loving boyfriend to you but there have been too many cases where these same men harm innocent children. Jaquail Phillips say's he's "lost, broken, and misses his boys". "These kids, they don't ask to be brought into this world," he said. "We bring them into this world and as a mother and father we're supposed to protect them and show them the way, like we're supposed to be doing" Phillips said.

Moore was booked into the Lucas County jail on two counts of aggravated murder and one count of felonious assault.
