Lee Daniels and Mo'Nique Deliver One Heck of a Thriller in "The Reading"!
The reason why some of us weren't allowed to play with Quija boards or pretend like we're talking to the dead is coming to BET+!
Remember when we reported that actress and comedian Mo'Nique had ended her beef with Lee Daniels after he apologized to her? Well, if you don't remember, we'll break it down real quick. Mo'Nique had a misunderstanding with Lee Daniels, Tyler Perry and Oprah WInfrey after her 2009 film "Precious". That misunderstanding gave birth to some harsh words and then a ten year feud between Mo'Nique and everyone else. Mo'Nique wasn't letting up until she got an apology and, almost a year ago, she got just that. Daniels met Mo'Nique on stage at her show and gave her a public apology then a show of good faith in the form of a role in his new film.
That film has now been produced and it looks terrifying!

Recently widowed, Emma Leeden, details the loss of her family in her new book “Invasion”. To generate press, Emma agrees to a staged reading by 19-year-old Sky Brown in Emma’s now fortified home. There’s only one problem, Sky’s spiritual connection is real, and evil emerges in a house they can't get out of.

"The Reading" stars Mo’Nique Hicks, Chastity Sereal, Denisha Hardeman, Ian Haywood, Charnele Brown (A Different World), Lisa Alavi and Sara Alavi. The film will debut on BET+ February 2, 2023!
