Columbus, Ohio Police Looking for Suspect They Believe Shot and Killed a Gas Station Clerk.


Columbus, Ohio police are reaching out to the public for help after a gas station clerk was shot dead early this morning. Reports say that police responded to a call reporting shots being fired at a Shell Gas Station on 1000 West Broad St. just before 1 a.m.


When police arrived they found one in dire need of medical attention. The store's clerk, later identified as 24-year-old Saiesh Veera, had been shot inside the store during what is presumed to be an attempted robbery. He was taken to Grant Medical Center and was pronounced dead at 1:27 a.m.



At this time the police are reviewing surveillance footage from the store, and surrounding areas, to determine what vehicle, if any, the suspect may have been traveling in. In the meantime, they are asking the public to help them in identifying the man seen in the video.
