No Justice. NO PEACE. Cop Gets Indicted for Endangering Neighbors NOT Murdering Breonna Taylor.

We can't say that we're shocked at all by the decision of the Louisville, Kentucky judicial system but, we will say we're highly disappointed. Jefferson County grand jury charged former Louisville police Det. Brett Hankison with three felony counts of wanton endangerment today for shooting into a nearby apartment during the raid on Breonna Taylor's home in March. That means that he endangered her neighbors by shooting in her apartment but that he's not responsible for Taylor's death.

ABSOLUTE TRASH!

WDRB reports that neither Hankison nor the two other officers who fired their weapons -- Sgt. Jon Mattingly and Det. Myles Cosgrove -- were indicted in Taylor's death. Taylor was killed by one of Cosgrove's bullets, according to FBI ballistics findings released by Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron.

Cameron told reporters that his office and the grand jury both agreed that Mattingly and Cosgrove were "justified" in returning a shot fired first by Kenneth Walker, Taylor's boyfriend. Walker, who was standing in the apartment's hallway, has said he believed police were intruders breaking into the apartment before 1 a.m. March 13.

Cameron said the state has "vigorous" self-defense laws.

"According to Kentucky law, the use of force by Mattingly and Cosgrove was justified to protect themselves," Cameron said. "This justification bars us from pursuing criminal charges in Ms. Breonna Taylor's death."

Hankison's bullets did penetrate the walls of Taylor's apartment and into a neighboring unit that housed "a man, pregnant woman and child were inside that unit at the time" and also one that was empty at the time.

Each charge carries a prison sentence of 1 to 5 years, if convicted.

We previously reported that the city of Louisville had closed it's downtown area and boarded up buildings in preparation for an outcome they allegedly weren't sure of but, we think they did. As predicted, protestors were out en masse to witness the decision. Once the minuscule charges were read, the protesting began.

Updates state that at least 46 people were arrested and 2 police officers suffered gunshot wounds. The officers injuries are not life threatening. A suspect is in custody for their shooting.

It amazes us that so many people have been arrested and served more jail time for protesting Breonna Taylor's death than the people who actually caused her death! Black people all around the country are enraged, and rightfully so, by the country they helped to build that proves over and over that our lives aren't valued.

45 took to twitter to express his feeling about the officers shooting but never mentioned Breonna Taylor or the fight for justice. He said "Praying for the two police officers that were shot tonight in Louisville, Kentucky. The Federal Government stands behind you and is ready to help," the president said, adding that he had talked to Gov. Beshear and that they were "prepared to work together, immediately upon request."

Remember people, the way to make sure that those in power become powerless is to VOTE! These mayors, governors and attorney generals are all elected officials. If you want change, VOTE THEM OUT!

Keep applying pressure. Breonna Taylor deserves it!
