When Jason Pope was arrested in late August for sex trafficking, no one in law enforcement suspected that they were only viewing the tip of a much more sinister iceberg. According to ABC15 Pope, 42 who also goes by the name "DJ Kid","was charged with with three counts of trafficking in persons, three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor, promoting prostitution of a minor, and kidnapping back on August 29.
Warrants say Pope recruited women and underage girls and had sex with them on various occasions between September 2017 and July 2019, providing the victims with money and gifts in exchange. They also say he held some victims against their wills in Darlington and Florence in order to have them perform sex acts.
The warrants say Pope knew some of the victims were under the age of 18, although they did not say if any of the women held against their wills were underage."
Pope allegedly recruited his victims while handing out flyers for his DJ gigs bribing the young girls with promises of stardom. WMBF News reports that "a 13-year-old girl told deputies that she had sex with Pope and later found out he had AIDS, the report states. The child’s friend introduced her to Pope, who allegedly gave the minor marijuana and alcohol, deputies said.
According to the report, Pope took a second victim to his home on Lakeview Drive and had sex with her as well. At the time, police said the minors identified Pope’s home and his license plate number. The second victim said she was sexually assaulted on Thanksgiving, and she too became concerned that she contracted AIDS, the report states."
His agenda was simple, beguile Black women, have unprotected sex with them and then hope that they contracted the disease and spread it, unknowingly, throughout the Black community.
Suspicions and complaints against Pope have been going on for years. Family members of victims have been reporting Pope's behavior since at least 2011 when they began noticing explicit text messages between Pope and their underage family members.
Between December 2011 and April 2019 Pope was named as the suspect, or involved, in 14 different incidents, nine of those were sexual assault related. Of those nine cases, five involved minors. Family members of the victims said that he targeted girls, as young as 13, on the popular social media app SnapChat where his explicit videos and messages would self-delete.
One of Pope's neighbors told authorities he'd seen young girls at Pope's home often. “Seeing who he had next door, these young girls they looked like there were very young, underage maybe, and they stayed over there some and then they’d disappear," the unidentified Florence man said.
If you had any doubt that this was homegrown terrorism, take a look at this text message exchange.
Authorities has tons and tons of text messages between Pope and his victims or those he was grooming. They report that the vast majority of them are explicit in nature and some contained pornographic material sent to minors. All of them are African-American.
If this isn't cause for everyone to start protecting themselves and request a clean bill of health from ALL of their potential sex partners, we don't know what is.
This man, and undoubtedly more like him, are targeting a specific community in this country as a means of genocide. Although the claims that he has AIDS has not been proven, the threat is enough to scare anyone!
Wake up, wise up and get tested people! It's literally life or death out here!
