Dollar Store Security Officer Maces and Punches Woman in the Face After She's Accused of Shoplif
"The most disrespected woman in America, is the Black Woman. The most un-protected person in America is the Black Woman. The most neglected person in America, is the Black Woman" Malcolm X.
A woman by the name of Sonjia Broussard was allegedly seen shoplifting in a 99 cent store in Los Angeles, CA when she was approached by the store's security guard. Other witnesses in the store said they saw the woman putting items in her shoulder bag prompting the exchange between the two.
When the guard told the woman that he needed to check her bag for stolen items, she refused and a heated altercation ensued! Take a look!
Broussard, although she never admitted to shoplifting, did begin to take items from her bag and throw them at the security guard. We do agree that Broussard's actions escalated the interaction but nothing she did should have resulted in a punch to the face!
The DailyMail reports that "the woman left the store soon after without her bag and was arrested by police nearby.
She was charged with theft and battery in relation to the incident with the guard.
The security guard was fired a day after the incident.
Police considered charging the security guard but later determined that he had retaliated to her initially striking him in the face.
Authorities did acknowledge that the guard used more force than they would have expected."
Ya, think?
