Hopes of a Moonwalking Musical Coming to Broadway in 2020!

If you're a fan of both the Kind of Pop and all things Broadway, you're in luck! Sources say that the Michael Jackson Estate and Columbia Live Stage have joined forces to produce a musical based on the life of the legendary Michael Jackson.

"The move is the latest stage project to portray pop stars onstage with their best works, a list that includes Donna Summer, Cher, Gloria Estefan, the Go-Gos and Huey Lewis and the News.

As a solo artist and with his brothers, 13-time Grammy winner Jackson sold millions of records and in 1983 became an international icon with the release of Thriller, the best-selling album of all time with such hits as Beat It and Billie Jean."

The musical is said to be written by Pulitzer Price winning writer Lynn Nottage, directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Christopher Wheeldon. Based solely on Jackson's musical catalog that sold millions of copies and won him 13 Grammy Awards, the untitled musical is slated to debut in 2020.

Although there's no word yet on the potential cast, we're all going to be heading to Broadway just to sit in the theater like this. . .
