That Was Quick! Jill Scott Files for Divorce After 15 Months of Marriage.

Cue Jazmine Sullivan's "Forver Don't Last" right about here! After only 15 months of marriage songstress Jill Scott has filed for divorce from her husband Mike Dobson. According to court documents the singer filed for divorce on September 15 citing the popular "irreconcilable differences" and "inappropriate marital conduct" which is the most common "fault-based" resin for divorce in the state of Tennessee. Tennessee law defines "inappropriate marital conduct" as being "whenever there is evidence of continued misconduct by one or both spouses that makes continued cohabitation unacceptable."

Her ex-husband went on record saying that he "that he never laid a hand on his wife, cheated on her or made her engage in unwanted sexual contact."

In an exclusive interview with Bossip:

"Dobson said he was “blindsided” by Scott’s divorce filing, although he admitted that they agreed to separate, work on their relationship and keep wearing their wedding rings.“She’s an evil woman,” the husband told us. “I’m telling you. It’s like what Jill Scott wants, Jill Scott gets. People are in her ear, and if someone comes in to challenge the dumb s**t, they made me be the bad guy and that got me outta there.”He added: “She’s got issues. There’s no men in that family, there’s only women. And when a man comes in, it’s like a challenge.”

“She likes to emasculate men – that’s her problem,” Dobson said. “I told her, she’s from Philly, but I’m from New York, and if you want to try to disgrace me, try to slander me, I can fight dirty,” Dobson said.

Dobson hasn't responded to the divorce petition as of yet and Jill's camp is keeping everything pretty hush-hush. Let's hope that this doesn't get messier than it already is!
