This Doesn't Even Sound Right: 4-Year-Old Dies in Early Morning Go-Cart Accident!

In all of my days I don't think I've heard anything as suspicious and idiotic as this! A 4-year-old Detroit girl is dead this morning after a go-cart she was the passenger in was in an accident. The unidentified little girl was in the go-cart with her father when he lost control of the go-cart and struck another vehicle. . . at 3am this morning.

Via Detroit News:

"The fatal crash took place about 3 a.m. on the 19800 block of St. Mary's, which is south of West Eight Mile and west of Greenfield.

The child's father, 29, took the child on a go-cart ride and lost control of the cart, and hit a parked vehicle on the street, police said. He was injured and is being treated at a local hospital.

Family members transported the girl to an area hospital, but she later died from her injuries.

As of Tuesday night, 609 people had died in fatal vehicle crashes in Michigan in 2018, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation. The number is down 55 from this time last year."

I have some serious questions for the adults in this case. Whose bright idea was it to have this baby out at 3am? Why did the father think it was cool to ride around in the dark of the night with his baby? Was he driving her from one location to another and didn't have a proper car?

I'm praying for this family in the loss of this child but Lord have mercy, this could have been avoided!

UPDATE:

The deceased has been identified as 4-year-old Autumn Young. According to Fox 2, Autumn, her 6-year-old sister and their father were in the go-kart when he lost control and the three of them were ejected from the vehicle.

The 6-year-old was taken to the hospital with bruises and scrapes, their father was hospitalized as well however, little Autumn passed away due to blunt force trauma to the head.
