What Happened to Felicia Johnson? Missing Person's Case Now Being Investigated as a Homicide.
A Houston, Texas woman that was reported missing is now presumed dead and a suspect is in custody.
24-year-old Felicia Johnson was last seen leaving a job audition back in April. The missing person's report came from the InterContinental Houston-Medical Center hotel in the 6700 block of Main Street on April 16. The report was made after her cell phone, covered in blood, was found off the roadway in Bear Creek Pioneers Park near Highway 6 and Clay Road.
Detectives learned that 28-year-old Chukwuebuka Nwobodo picked up Johnson from an apartment complex at 3233 Windchase Blvd. and took her to his apartment at 14935 S. Richmond Ave.
Detectives working the case believe that Nwobodo killed Johnson inside his apartment before disposing of her personal belongings in the park. They also believe that he disposed of Johnson's body at some point, at an unknown location, days later.
At this time there has been no disclosed relationship between Nwobodo and Johnson, nor has there been any motive given for her suspected murder.
Despite the new details, police haven't yet recovered Johnson's body and Nwobodo remains at large.
Police are urging anyone with information on Nwobodo's whereabouts to contact HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-2477 (TIPS).
We're encouraging everyone to share this story so that if Felicia Johnson has passed away, her family can lay her to rest with respect and dignity. No family deserves this type of horror.
