Texas Man Charged with Fatally Shooting a Father and Leaving the Man's Toddler in a Hot Car to Die!

A Houston father and son have died at the hands of a man that the father may have considered a friend.

KHOU reports that 38-year-old Michael Essien and his son Micah, were both killed by Bolanle Fadairo, also 38. Reports say that Essien and Fadairo were both security guards.

On Tuesday police say that Essien met up with Fadairo after he'd gotten off from work. No one knows why the two met up but it is reported that the two men argued. At some point during the argument Fadairo allegedly pulled out a gun and shot Essien then took off in Essien's car. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to the police, little Micah was inside.

Moments later, Houston Police got the call that a man had been shot. When they arrived, they found the man fatally wounded with no identification and no vehicle.

Hours later Essien's wife called the police department to report her husband and child were missing. Based on the information she gave them, they realized her husband was the man who had been shot.

Officers located the abandoned SUV about half an hour later on Elm Street near Renwick Drive. The little boy was found unresponsive in the backseat.

Police said officers broke the glass to get to the child and tried to revive him, but it was too late. The cause of death will be determined by an autopsy, but officials said it could be heat exhaustion.

Neighbors said they likely passed the SUV parked on the street but had no idea a child was inside. There are still questions about whether the suspect knew the child was in the car.

"I feel so bad, we could have done something, I know we could have," one neighbor said.

Police were able to track down Bolanle Fadairo at an apartment complex not far from where Essien was shot. It has been reported that Essien may have owed Fadairo some money but, this isn't a reason to end a man's life. Essien and his wife had just welcomed a new baby and they also have a son older than Micah.

Fadairo is charged with two counts of murder and also charged with tampering with evidence because investigators said he tried to get rid of text messages.
