Tennessee Couple Wake Up to Crazy Man Knocking on Their Door Holding a Machete!

Whew Lord, this one is wild! Residents of Mountain View Mobile Home Park were awakened last night to a crazed man wandering around their trailer park holding a machete! Knoxville authorities say that the Johnson City Police Department was called out to the mobile home park Wednesday night on a call of a suspicious man armed with a large knife.

One couple say that they were asleep in their home when they heard someone knocking on their door. The pair say that they went to the door and discovered a man standing there with a machete demanding to speak with them. They didn't open their door, instead, they called the local authorities.

Police who arrived at the scene and identified the man as 56-year-old, David Renfro wandering around the mobile home park.

Renfro is charged with two counts of aggravated assault. He was transported to the Washington County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond.

Thank God for peep holes and strong doors because this could have ended very badly. THere's no word on whether or not Renfro was under the influence of any drugs or alcohol but, by the looks of his mugshot, we don't doubt it.
