Search for Missing Kentucky Infant Heightens with Parents Arrests. Authorities Widen Search to Include Ohio.
An 8-month-old baby girl has been reported missing after a wellness check on her family.
Kentucky authorities executed a search warrant and wellness check on the home of a family but their baby couldn't be accounted for. Reports say that Miya Tucker was last believed to be in the care of her parents, 29-year-old Tesla Tucker and 30-year-old Cage C. Rudd, but could not be located during a welfare check.
There have been no recent photos released of the baby but she is said to have brown hair and green eyes. Miya's parents were both arrested at the scene.
Tesla was charged with abandonment of a minor, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Rudd was also charged with abandonment of a minor along with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl), first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Kentucky State Police have broadened their search to include the southern part of Ohio as well. This is a time sensitive case and they believe that Miya could be in possible danger. Both Tucker and Rudd remain in the Daviess County Jail.
Kentucky State Police is requesting anyone with information regarding the missing child to contact post at 270-826-3312.
