Ronnie Turner, the Son of Tina and Ike Turner, Has Died at the Age of 62.
The second oldest son of rock icon, Tina Turner, has reportedly passed away.
TMZ was first to report the passing of Ronnie Turner this morning. According to their reports they received a 911 call Thursday morning from a person who said Ronnie was outside their home and having a hard time breathing. A few minutes later, he wasn't breathing at all.
Paramedics rushed to the San Fernando Valley address -- where bystanders were attempting CPR -- but the efforts didn't work, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
It's currently unclear what led to Ronnie's medical emergency, but we know he's had health issues for years, including cancer.
Born Ronald Renelle Turner, he was the second son born to Tina but her first with her then husband Ike Turner. Her first son, Craig Robinson Turner, died by suicide in 2018. Tina's remaining sons, Ike Turner Jr. and Michael Turner, were adopted by her but they are the biological children of her husband Ike Sr. Fans of the biopic "What's Love Got To Do With It" will remember the iconic scene where their mother "Loraine" dropped the children off with Ike and Tina after the birth of her son. The couple split in 1976 after Tina accused Ike of beating her up, with Ike dying of a drug overdose in 2007.
Ronnie starred alongside his mom in 1993 biopic What's Love Got To Do With It, which told the story of her life.
Ronnie Turner was 62. Our condolences to their family.
