In an unlikely pairing, Nick Cannon has united with gospel greats and comedic heavy hitters to star in his newest film Miracles Across 125th Street.
The exact plot and synopsis of the film is still under wraps but, of course, Cannon has nabbed the producing credits. He's listed as an executive producer on the film and made note that he is searching for actors to play teens in a choir they plan to develop onset. Many assume the film is based on the book Miracle On 125th Street by Empress Erika.
The book tells the story of Zahara Franklin, a single mother who struggles to make ends meets after the death of her parents and daughter’s father. Zahara lacks the Christmas spirit due to her circumstances. A series of unfortunate events leave her and her daughter homeless and helpless. Ellington Thurgood III arrives to help the two and teach Zahara about the spirit and magic of Christmas.
Kierra Sheard-Kelly posted a morning routine video a few days ago where she showed what it's like waking up and getting ready to go on set of the secret film. That video gave us a sneak peek at hair and makeup but, it was her mother's, Karen Clark-Sheard's, video that showed what everyone else had been wondering. Who's in the film?
It looks like the two singing powerhouses will be joined by comedians Marsha Warfield, D.C. Young Fly and Luenell and singer Chrisette Michelle-Payne!
Take a look!
In the words of Kierra Sheard-Kelly "it keeps happening" for her! Sheard-Kelly said that this is her second major film production since The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel where she actually got to portray her own mother!
Whatever this project is, it looks wholesome and we're ready for it! Congratulations to the entire cast!
