An Alabama mother and son duo are on the run after authorities say they kidnapped, slashed and stabbed a man.
Police said the victim’s ordeal began at about 9 p.m. Saturday and continued for several hours. They said Jaylin Williams stabbed him when he tried to run away while Tamekia Williams used a machete to slash him. The victim was eventually able to escape on foot and ran to a nearby restaurant for help. The victim was life-flighted to USA Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
When police responded to the area where the victim says the assault happened, the Williamses were no where to be found.
Tamekia Williams, 36, and Jaylin Williams, 22, have been charged with 2nd degree assault and unlawful imprisonment, police said.
Daphne police asked anyone with information on the whereabouts of the Williamses to call them at (251) 620-0150.
