A 15-year-old Ohio girl who went missing on Thanksgiving has been found dead. Reports say that Kathryn McGuire (center) and her friends, 15-year-old girl, Haylie Vance (left) and 19-year-old Aaron Larkin (right) voluntarily left Ohio together heading to California. McGuire's family had no idea where she was so, they filed a missing person's report.
McGuire, who lived with her adult sister, was last seen leaving their apartment between 3:30-4:30pm on Thanksgiving. Sources say she was picked up and never heard from again.
On Friday, December 4 at 11:56 a.m., Painesville Police are notified that Vance was located and detained by Long Beach California Police. Vance confirms that she and McGuire had voluntarily left the state of Ohio with their friend Larkin and all three of them had been in California for at least six days. Vance and Larkin were found safe in California although McGuire and Vance had spent some time in Nevada together just days before.
Painesville Ohio police were notified that McGuire had been brought to Dignity Health Saint Rose Hospital in Henderson, Nevada on December 8. She was pronounced dead at the hospital. This information and her identity were later confirmed by the Henderson Police Department.
At this time the investigation into McGuire's death is ongoing and little details are being given to the public. We will keep you posted as more information becomes available.
Our prayers go out to this girl's family.
