Manhunt for Suspect Underway After Dismembered Body Found in Plastic Bags in Yard of Georgia Home.

Georgia's Bureau of Investigations are looking for a suspect after they say a dismembered body was found in the front yard of a small town home.

Hancock County Police received a call around 7pm on May 4th stating that there was a dead body in the yard of a home on Main Street. When they arrived they did confirm that there was a deceased person. At this moment they do not know how long the person has been dead and they are not identifying the victim's identity. Authorities have said that they have a person of interest in the case.

A law enforcement source familiar with the investigation told the newspaper that the body had been placed “in plastic bags” and may have been dismembered.

The city of Devereux is a tiny community of about 1,400 people located southeast of Atlanta, roughly halfway between Macon and Augusta.
