Everyone's favorite Wielder of Words is finally getting the acknowledgement of words. LeVar Burton, former host of long

running show "Reading Rainbow" and "Star Trek" star, will be honored by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences at the new Children's & Family Emmy Awards by receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Burton reacted to the news on Twitter saying his mind was blown by the declaration!

Burton hosted the show for 23 years, with the show garnering 12 Daytime Emmys and winning a Peabody Award.

The show was canceled in 2006.

The awards show is slated to happen on Dec. 11 in Los Angeles, NPR reported.

This award is very well deserved for Burton who the community has loved since he first hit television screens. He's made huge changes in the lives of children, introducing them to new books and ideas, all while maintaining a humble spirit.

Well done LeVar Burton!
