Florida Man Arrested for Allegedly Abducting, Raping and Shooting 12-Year-Old Boy in the Face!
Human monsters are real and we warn our readers about them all of the time! Over the weekend witnesses at a Miami-Dade gas station say that they saw a young boy bleeding, and begging for help in the wee hours of the morning when no child should have been out alone.
Police say that the boy snuck out of his family's home to meet up with friends. On his way to his friends house, the boy was forced into a vehicle by a stranger who then assaulted him, shot him and then threw him from the car.
The child managed to stumble toward a group of strangers and told bystanders that he'd been kidnapped, sexually brutalized and shot before collapsing onto the ground.
The terrible aftermath of the child's assault was caught on store surveillance camera and broadcast nationwide in hopes of finding out more information on the child and his captor.
Local 10 News talked to a man who only identified himself as Johnny who said he was on his bike when he heard the boy screaming for help.
“He was screaming, ‘Help someone, help me, please.’ "
In surveillance video, Johnny, who said he didn’t have a phone, escorts the bleeding boy to the Foodland Market at Northwest 47th Street and 37th Avenue.
“I bring him to the store so they can call the police for him,” Johnny said. “He was conscience, then he fell on the sidewalk and said he had been shot.”
Surveillance video shows the boy walking up to the corner of Northwest 32nd Avenue and Northwest 47th Street where he can be seen collapsing, bleeding from the head, while a person standing next to him calls 911.
Miami-Dade police said the incident took place between 2 a.m. and 3:30 am Saturday in northwestern Miami. The suspect was described as a tall Hispanic man with long, curly hair. He appeared to be in his 30s or 40s, police said, and was driving a black 4-door sedan.
Thanks to tips from the public and forensic evidence police were able to capture and arrest 43-year-old Alex Santiesteban charging him with sexual battery with a deadly weapon, kidnapping, and attempted murder.
Police said Santiesteban then drove to Northwest 45th Street and 31st Avenue and pulled over, where he sexually assaulted the victim in the back seat of the car.
Miami-Dade Police spokesman Alvaro Zabaleta said that the suspect activated the child locks so that the victim couldn’t get out of the car. The boy eventually fought the man off of him, which resulted in Santiesteban shooting him in the face.
When the boy emerged from the car, he couldn't see. He hollered for help until Johnny came to his aid.
“He still has a long way ahead as far as his recovery is concerned,” Zabaleta said. “It’s devastating to know that this individual, not only did he have to live the traumatic incident of being sexually assaulted, but then at the same time be shot in the face.”
Parents, have a long talk with your children about the dangers of sneaking out of the house and about being exactly where they say they are. This world is getting crazier and crazier by the day.
We're praying for this boy's full recovery.
