Brother and Sister, Ages 4 and 6, Killed in Mini Golf Accident.

Two children have died today after a man lost control of his vehicle and ran them over. Panama City, Florida authorities say that Scott Donaldson of Panama City Beach was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado when he veered from the westbound lanes of Front Beach Road and onto the Coconut Creek property where the children were enjoying a day of fun with their family.

The children — a 4-year-old boy and 6-year-old girl — were with family members at Coconut Creek Family Fun Park, 9807 Front Beach Road, when the crash happened, according to reports. Debbie Ward, public information officer at city of Panama City Beach, said the family was visiting from out of the state.

One child died at the scene, while the other died at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay hospital.

The crash is still under investigation and there are unspecified pending charges against Donaldson. At this time there is no word on whether drugs or alcohol played a part in the incident that led to the children's death.
