17-Year-Old Maryland Boy Charged with Murdering His 5-Year-Old Sister.

A 17-year-old Pasadena, Maryland boy has been charged with murdering his own little sister. Reports say that Stephen Jarrod Davis Jr. killed 5-year-old Anaya Jannah Abdul then stole his family's car and fled.

Abdul was found stabbed to death in her bed early Saturday morning and investigators said that evidence gathered at the scene led them to believe Davis was the suspected killer.

"As a result of the investigative evidence, homicide detectives were able to obtain an arrest warrant charging Davis as an adult with first degree murder.

On Saturday at about 11:30 a.m., detectives, with the assistance of Ohio police agencies, were able to locate Davis in Springfield, Ohio with the family car that he stole.

Davis was arrested by Ohio authorities and is currently awaiting extradition back to Maryland. There were no additional criminal charges placed in Ohio."

Investigators have no motive as to why Davis would kill his little sister. Abdul, who would have been six in December, was in kindergarten at the Fort Smallwood Elementary School. Abdul was described by the school's principal as being a "sweet" child who "enjoyed drawing, making videos, dancing, and singing." Davis is a senior at Chesapeake High School.

An autopsy showed she died from multiple sharp force injuries.
