Woman Shoots Ex-Boyfriend For NOT Arguing with Her!
Sometimes, it's best to walk away.
On Saturday morning, just after 7:30am, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to the 1400 block of Grigsby Street on reports of a shooting. Officers located a 34-year-old man on the sidewalk suffering from a single gunshot wound to the body.
Reports do not say in which area of the body the man was shot but, sources do say that he is fighting for his life. His injuries were described as "life threatening" and he is listed in critical condition.
Investigators with the Violent Crimes Unit responded to the scene and following evidence collection and interviews with witnesses, learned that the victim was shot by his estranged girlfriend, 29-year-old Jenalisha Lawrence. Lawrence allegedly shot the victim following an interaction in which he refused to argue with her. She fled the scene in a green Honda Accord with primer on the left passenger’s side front door.
Detectives procured a warrant charging Lawrence with one count of Attempted Second Degree Murder. Bond was set at $150,000.00. Lawrence has addresses in the 3100 block of Lindholm Street and the 2800 block of Drexel; however, investigators feel it is likely that Lawrence fled to the Dallas, Texas area where she is from.
We get that sometimes things get heated in a relationship but this is NEVER the way to handle a disagreement. I looks as if the victim was trying not to escalate the situation and Ms. Lawrence wasn't with it. Now, he's clinging to life and her life is ruined, for what? A stupid argument? This is unbelievable.
Police are asking anyone with information as to Lawrence’s whereabouts to contact them at 318-673-7300 option #3. Those who wish to remain anonymous are asked to call Shreveport Caddo Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373 or via their app P3Tips.
UPDATE:
Jenalisha Lawrence has been caught.
