Pennsylvania Woman, Dressed in Cookie Monster Costume, Drops Her Child Off with a Babysitter and Ove
Of all the bazar things that we've ever heard of, this one has got to be the most weird.
A 38-year-old West Newton, Pennsylvania woman was arrested after police got a tip from her child's babysitter that she was high. Reports say that Rachel Martin dropped off her 9-year-old child, who has autism, to the babysitter wearing only jeans, a t-shirt and no shoes or socks. Police said it was 43 degrees outside.

The babysitter suspected that Martin was under the influence of some type of drug and decided that it was best to report her to the police. Martin, who evidently couldn't wait to get high, was found by area police slumped over in her car in a alley behind the sitters house.
Sadly, finding people overcome by their drug of choice isn't an unusual occurrence these days but, what made this scene abnormal was the fact that Martin was dressed in a blue "Cookie Monster" costume.
Martin was given Narcan, an opioid reversal drug, and taken to a local hospital.
The child was turned over to her grandmother.
Martin has been charged with child endangerment and was released on $10,000 bond.
This mother is desperately in need of help and we pray that someone steps up to take care of this child long term, or until she can be proven fit.

Now, with that said. . . we honestly wanna know what was up with the "Cookie Monster" costume? Maybe it was an adult hooded onesie. The kind that is supposed to be worn to bed but folks LOVE wearing to their favorite, local, big box store at all times of the day and night.
We hope and pray it wasn't the kind with the large, paper mache, head and hot furry body suit that folks wear to children's birthday parties.
Either way, we're nosy and want to know!
