Husband Allegedly Kills His Wife AND Her Therapy Dog then Confesses on Twitter?

An elementary school principal was found shot to death in her home the day after Christmas. 58-year-old Lynn Heimsoth was found shot in her Bellingham home alongside her therapy dog.

Authorities arrived at the home on December 26 after a report of a possible murder-suicide. When they arrived, authorities found Heimsoth and her therapy dog, Sukha, shot dead. They also found the family cat shot to death inside the residence, along with Heimsoth’s husband, who had a gunshot wound to the head.

Heimsoth’s husband, whose name was not released, was identified as the suspected shooter, according to the Sheriff’s Office. He was transferred from St. Joseph’s hospital Thursday afternoon to another hospital in critical condition, according to Bev Mayhew, director of communications for St. Joseph’s hospital.

Heimsoth was the beloved principal of the Sunnyland Elementary School for a number of years and her death has shaken their close-knit community.

“Her death is a profound loss to our Sunnyland community, our school district and to our extended community,” Superintendent Greg Baker of the Bellingham Public Schools wrote. “Lynn was a passionate, equity-driven instructional leader. She loved kids to the core and always kept students’ needs at the center of her work.”

Heimsoth and the animals were pronounced dead at the scene, her husband is still alive at this time.
