Children Return Home from School to Find Their Parents Dead.

Yesterday should have been a normal Monday afternoon for two Philadelphia children however, it was the worst day of their lives.

When the arrived home after school, they foud both of their parents dead.

Authorities say that the children, ages 12 and six, came home around 3:30pm and found their parents dead of an apparent murder-suicide.

Their mothers, ages 38 and 50, both had gunshot wounds to the head and were pronounced dead at the scene.

"Detectives said the pair had gunshot wounds to the head and chest, with two shell casings and a handgun near both bodies. "It's tragic. I can't imagine what the boys are going through to come home and walk into something like that," said neighbor Aminata Simbo. "A friend of mine told me they ran into some children that were crying, and they ran back to the crossing guard to tell them that their parents were dead," said neighbor Cynthia Nottingham."

There was no sign of forced entry to the home and neighbors say that the couple seemed "friendly" with "no hint" of trouble.

At this time the coroner has scheduled an autopsy on both women to determine the exact cause of their deaths, even though it seems pretty obvious.

Our prayers go out to these young children who are going to have to live with the image of their parents bodies in their minds. We hope their relatives get them some counseling.
