Florida Pastor Accused of Molesting Teen Boy After Taking Him School Shopping.

These days, you have to watch EVERYBODY you let around your children.

44-year-old Maurice Dave Lyn, pastor of the Church of God of Prophecy in Deerfield Beach, FL was arrested on Tuesday on three counts of lewd and lascivious behavior.

Reports say that Lyn had taken the 15-year-old boy shopping for school supplies on August 6th. When he returned the boy to his home the boy says Lyn asked if anyone else was there. When the boy said no he states that Lyn "pushed him against a counter and began kissing him.The teen said he froze and Lyn proceeded to fondle him."

WSVN reports that "Police said Lyn stopped suddenly and told the victim he had to leave but promised he would perform oral sex on him the next time.

Investigators said when the boy’s mother confronted Lyn in a recorded phone call monitored by police, he told her that he was “praying and fasting for forgiveness.”

Lyn was granted $75,000 bond that he has since posted. He was ordered not to have contact with any minors other than his 7-year-old daughter.

“These are serious allegations with a minor victim. I have to take all that into consideration,” said Judge Jackie Powell during Lyn’s bond court hearing."

Florida police are concerned that this may not be the only time Lyn has done something like this and that there may be other victims who have kept quiet. They are encouraging anyone who may have been a victim or knows of someone who had a similar encounter with Lyn to come forward.

If you have any information that could help police, call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a $3,000 reward.

Honestly, he shouldn't even be allowed contact with ANY child, including his own, after being busted for doing something like this.
