Shooting at California Detox Center Leaves 1 Dead and 2 Injured. Shooter Still On the Run!

Three people have been shot, one reportedly dead, after a lone gunman went on a shooting spree in a California detox center. Although little details are being released at this time, we do know that the victims were two males and one female. One of the male victims has died. The other two victims are in a local hospital in unspecified conditions.

The shooter escaped.

ABC 7 reports:

"Officers brought in the CHP helicopter to look for the suspect in the area."

They were unable to locate the suspect. The suspect fled the scene. The immediate area is secure and no one is in danger currently in the immediate area," said Sgt. Michael Brovelli.

He would not explain further.

At this time, Sgt. Brovelli said he doesn't know the victims ages or names or whether the shooting had anything to do with the detox center.

They have shut down Silveira Parkway at Smith Ranch Road."
