Some folks just WANT to ruin their lives and this is a clear cut case of it!
Police have launched a desperate search for a high school student and a teacher who are believed to have run off with each other.
Cops in Hattiesburg, Mississippi issued the alert on Monday seeking teacher Nicole Jackson, 30, who is currently free on $10,000 bail on charges of sexual battery in a position of trust, and Oscar O'Neal, 16.
The case first came to light in March when police got a tip that Jackson was in an inappropriate relationship with O'Neal. After a brief investigation, Jackson resigned from her position at the Earl Travillion Attendance Center. On April 10, 2018 she turned herself in to the police and "was charged with one count of sexual battery by a person in a position of trust or authority." but subsequently released on a $10,000 bond.
Oscar's father, Oscar O'Neal Sr. reached out to the public via his Facebook page urging people to keep an eye out for his missing son saying:
"If you see my son please contact me or my wife Lisa Oneal. We got the police involved. His nickname is Lil Pooh but his real name is Oscar Oneal. Missing."
Reports say that Jackson had worked with the Forrest County School District for several years, officials said.Based on her Facebook profile, Jackson is married with at least one child.
In Mississippi, the age of sexual consent is 16.
However, state law prohibits a person in a position of authority, including a teacher, from engaging in sexual penetration with a person under the age of 18.Anyone with information about Oscar's whereabouts is urged to contact The Hattiesburg Police Department at 601-545-4500.
