Pennsylvania Police Officer Caught Using Excessive Force. [WATCH]

A New Castle, Pennsylvania officer is under investigation after video surfaced on social media of him bashing the head of a detained suspect. In the video the suspect appears to be partially subdued, yet resisting, and is face down with his hands behind his back. Here's the entire story.

"The New Castle Police Department is investigating an officer's use of force after a video surfaced on social media.It shows an arrest that happened on Monday evening. Officers were responding to a domestic disturbance involving an intoxicated man who assaulted a juvenile boy, according to police.

Police said the man tried to run toward a knife that was lying on a kitchen counter, so an officer began to struggle with him.

A second officer tased the man three times in an attempt to control him, but it did not work, police said.That's when the second officer tried to control the man through force, according to police.

The man was then handcuffed and taken to the hospital. Police said he had cuts on his head.After being released from the hospital, he was taken to Lawrence County Jail.

He is charged with simple assault, harassment and resisting arrest.

The second officer has been placed on administrative leave during the investigation."

We would like to warn you, the video is very graphic.

In the video, you can hear the person recording the beating say "Don't kill him" during the beating and "I think he's dead" once he is no longer moving and presumably passed out.

The aftermath of the ordeal was also captured in a photo by the person who recorded the incident.

The New Castle Police Department issued the following statement via their social media page.
