Beyonce' Absolutely SLAYED Coachella! [WATCH]
Dear Lord what did we do to deserve the performance Beyonce' gave at Coachella? Were we really that good or do you see more in us than we see in ourselves? Beyonce Gisselle Knowles-Carter came through the Coachella music festival and made it her own personal "All Things Black" HBCU (Historically Black College or University). The drumline, dancers, and the entire stage oozed Black Excellence.
Partway through the beginning segment of the performance, Queen Bey belted out an updated rendition of the Black National Anthem "Lift Every Voice and Sing"! Lawd I about died!
Beyonce was joined briefly on stage by her husband, Jay-Z, her sister Solange for an old school dance break to "Get Me Bodied" and the wonderful ladies of Destiny's Child, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, for the reunion we've all wanted since that time Bey broke the Super Bowl!
I've seen Beyonce live and this performance topped her last ones hands down! Maybe she was making up for the performance that she missed last year when she was pregnant with the twins, or maybe God just thought Black folk needed an identity pick-me-up. Whatever the reason, thank God for Beyonce!
