12-Year-Old Girl Charged with Attempted Murder for Allegedly Stabbing Her Father in the Torso!

A 12year-old girls was arrested and taken to Long Creek Youth Development Center in South Portland, Oregon after authorities say she allegedly tried to kill her father.

The incident was reported around 10 a.m. Wednesday, officers were called to 92 Winter St. When they arrived they found an adult male who had been stabbed in the stomach and chest. They also discovered knife wounds on his 12-year-old daughter.

The Sun Journal reports that “the preliminary investigation indicates that the 12-year-old female was responsible for the attack on her father,” Deputy Police Chief Tim Cougle wrote in a news release. “Both subjects were treated on scene by the Auburn Fire Department and transported to a local hospital. The male victim is in serious but stable condition.”

The identity of the father has not been released in order to protect the identity of his juvenile daughter. At this time no one has mentioned a motive for the stabbing. Neighbors near the home say that they hadn't noticed anything unusual about the family. They were mostly quiet.

The young girl is being held on charges of attempted murder.
