18-year-old Identified as the Man Who Sexually Abused a Little Girl During Virtual Class.

When this story broke early yesterday about a 7-year-old girl being sexually assaulted during virtual class we were all taken aback.

Almost everyone was hoping that there had to have been some sort of hoax or misunderstanding but, those hopes were quickly dashed as more details emerged.

Police said the girl was seen performing a sexual act on a male in the 200-block of 89th Place at about 1:30 p.m. Thursday through an online remote learning application. We first reported that the suspect was in custody for questioning, now we can safely say he's been arrested and charged.

18-year-old Catrell Walls has been arrested and is facing a felony charge of predatory criminal sexual assault of a victim under the age of 13. He was taken into custody on Thursday and the young girl was taken to Comer Children's Hospital. Her condition is unknown.

Walls was identified as one of the people seen in the online classroom with the victim. Police did not say who witnessed the incident or whether the online learning application was associated with a specific school.

The relation between the victim and Walls in order to protect the victim's identity but, sources do say that the two are "related".

We don't know all of the details just yet but, we don't need to know any more than we currently do to say that this man is sick!
