Two sisters from Silver Spring, Washington have literally vanished without a trace. Their father told authorities that they literally "left with nothing'. No clothes, no money, no food and not even their glasses. According to Washington Channel 4 News:

The girls' parents last saw then about 11 p.m. Saturday at their home on Hunters Gate Court in Silver Spring. About 11 a.m. the following morning, the parents went into the girls' bedroom and could not find them, police say.

Police believe Kandyce and Karmen are together. They frequently visit the Westfield Wheaton Mall on Veirs Mill Road, the Bel Pre area in Montgomery County, Washington, D.C. and Prince George's County, police say.

Family and authorities are concerned for the Matos sisters' welfare, police say.

Kandyce Matos, the younger sister, is described as a black female with black hair and brown eyes. She is 5 feet, 4 inches tall.

Karmen, the older sibling, is also described as a black female with black hair and brown eyes. She stands 5 feet, 5 inches tall, police say."

Karmen Matos, according to her father, deleted her Instagram account just before the two disappeared. Although the two are presumed to be runaways, their family is understandably fearing the worst.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Special Victims Investigations Division at 240-773-5400 or police at 301-279-8000.
