Texas Man in a "Blank Stare" Stabs His Little Brother, 7, to Death in the Living Room!

A 20-year-old Texas man is in jail today after fatally stabbing his younger brother over the weekend.

According to reports on Saturday night Jacob Brito, 7, was in his family's living room in their Haltom City home. Almost all of the family were in their bedrooms the only one in the room with Jacob was his older brother, Isidro Brito Bruno.

Their sister says that she heard Jacob screaming and she bolted from her bedroom toward the living room. She got there seconds after her parents and another brother and said that Isidro was holding a bloody knife, covered in blood, with a "blank stare" on his face.

The children's parents were trying to apply pressure to Jacob's wounds while she ran to call 911.

Jacob was transported to an area hospital where he later died.

The Haltom City Police say that Bruno hasn't stated a motive for murdering his younger brother but that they had been to the family's residence "at least three times since May 2019 for mental health issues with Isidro Brito.

On Saturday night, Isidro Brito fled the house after the attack on his brother, but he was taken into custody about two blocks from his home, according to the warrant.

Isidro Brito was found to have self-inflicted cut and stab wounds to his arms and stomach, Haltom City police said. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was treated, and then taken to the Tarrant County Jail.

The 20-year-old faces a charge of capital murder in the stabbing death of his 7-year-old brother, Haltom City police said."

As a nation we have got to take mental health more seriously and get treatment for loved ones who may potentially be a danger to themselves or others.

Little Jacob Brito did not have to die.

Our prayers are with his family.
