Baby's Decomposing Body Found in the Bag of a Woman Who Punched a Mall Cop!

A Roanoke, Virginia woman has been arrested after punching a mall police officer. Reports say that the Roanoke police got a call about a woman acting erratically at the Tanglewood Mall. When they showed up the woman became irate and began swinging on them, hitting one officer who sustained a minor injury.

While they were trying to arrest and subdue the woman, identified as 34-year-old Mandy Lavonne Lacy, they made an even more gruesome discovery. Lacy had been carrying a shopping bag with her that contained the partially decomposed body of a baby.

Lacy, who has known mental illnesses, was arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer.

At this time, she doesn't face any charges for the death of the baby but, more charges are sure to come. Reports show that the baby's age and gender were hard to identify due to the state of decomposition. It is not known if, but presumed that, the child could possibly be Lacy's own baby.

This incident shines a spotlight on the need for mental health assistance in this country. Mental health services need to be free for all and as readily available as every other free clinic.

If you, or someone you know, is suffering with a mental health issue, please reach out to the National Alliance on Mental Health for help.
