Minnesota Woman Killed Her Boyfriend Because She "Wanted Him to Stop Talking".
A Maple Grove, Minnesota woman had been charged with second degree murder, with intent, after shooting her boyfriend. Reports say that Stephanie Louise Clark, 29, went to her neighbors house, last Thursday, in tears, with her young son in tow, and told them "He's dead," and "I shot him because he hit me," according to documents.
Officers arrived to take the report shortly after 6pm and witnesses say they did hear several gunshots coming from the apartment Clark shared with her boyfriend. A few moments later, Clark emerged from the apartment and went to her neighbors for help.
When police entered her apartment they found a man dead, from an apparent gunshot wound to the head, lying on the floor. They also found five other handguns in the apartment.
Clark was taken into custody and complained of back pain. When she was examined she was found to have a large bruise on her back, allegedly from abuse at the hands of her boyfriend.
"According to the complaint, Clark told police that her boyfriend had confronted her about talking to a man in a store. When they got home, she said her boyfriend punched her in the stomach and back. Clark left to pick up her son and when she returned, the argument continued. She told police she then began following her boyfriend holding a gun. When he turned around, Clark told police she shot him several times in the chest, and then in the head. The complaint says that she told officers she "wanted him to stop talking."
Clark is charged with second-degree murder, a felony with a maximum recommended sentence of 40 years. The minimum, if she's convicted, is three years."
This definitely wasn't the way to handle the situation but, we do understand that sometimes enough is enough. We're praying for this woman's child who undoubtedly had to witness this horrific ordeal and more while living in the home.
