Comedian Kevin Hart is hospitalized ad expected to make a full recovery after a horrifying car accident nearly claimed the stars life early yesterday morning.
Reports say that Hart, a friend and the friend's girlfriend, took his classic 1970 Plymouth Barracuda out for a spin early Sunday morning. Hart's friend was driving the vehicle when it went off of the road and over an embankment on Mullholland Highway in Calabasas.
"Kevin was first out of the vehicle and according to a witness, a member of his security team showed up in an SUV and picked him up. Kevin lives nearby and cops say he went home "to get medical attention." He was eventually treated at a hospital."
California Highway Patrol said Hart, 40, was taken to Northride Hospital Medical Center while the 28-year-old driver, Jared Black, was rushed to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical center with major injuries. A third occupant of the vehicle, 31-year-old Rebecca Broxterman, suffered only minor injuries and sought treatement on her own.
Hart's family released a statement saying that he'd had emergency surgery to repair two fractured disks in his back and that he is expected to make a full recovery.
We're so glad to hear that Kevin is on the mend!
