Amazon Delivery Driver Stole a Dog and Tried to Sell it Online!

Talk about dumb! Amazon delivery driver Mycah Wade, of Crowley, Texas, is trying to give everybody's beloved Prime a criminal wrap sheet.

On July 5, 2019 Wade was making deliveries with a friend when they noticed a 2-year-old dachshund who had gotten out of his yard. A nearby landscaper says that the two women approached him and asked if he knew whose dog it was? The landscaper pointed to the house where the dog belonged and, instead of them taking the pup home, they put him in their car and drove away!

Shortly after the little dog, named RJ, went missing, an ad was placed on Craigslist offering him for $100.

When police reached out to the seller, the ad "changed". There was no outside contact information for the seller but the dog's true owners were pretty certain, by the looks of the photos in the ad, that the canine in question was theirs!

The giant retailer released a statement saying:

"This does not reflect the high standards we have for delivery service partners. We’re glad the customer has been reunited with their pet, and we have been in touch with them to make it right,” according to a statement from Amazon. “We take these matters seriously and these individuals are no longer delivering Amazon packages."

”Warrants were issued for Mycah Keyona Wade, 22, of Crowley, and Devanta Lynn Mooring, 23, for theft after the incident that occurred on July 5. Wade was arrested and booked in the Parker County Jail on a $2,000 bond on July 16 and bonded out that same day. Mooring has not been arrested at this time, according to Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler."

The entire "dog-napping" was captured on a neighbor's camera doorbell and that footage aided police in their search for the culprits!

Hopefully these two have learned their lesson but we believe RJ's parents have learned theirs too! He was reunited with them four days later and they say they're thankful to have him home.
