Florida Couple Charged with First Degree Murder After Killing His Daughter, Crushing Her Skull &quot

26-year-old Larry Golden Jr. and his pregnant girlfriend, 21-year-old Breonna Wren, have been arrested and charged with killing Golden's 6-year-old daughter Honesty Curry. Honesty and her younger sister had been dropped off to spend the summer with their father at his Florida residence and their mother tells authorities that she never thought her child was in any danger even after admitting that Honesty didn't like spending time with him.

On the night of June 12, Golden called 911 reporting that Honesty was unresponsive when he went to check on her in bed. When paramedics arrived, they found the little girl laying on the living room floor, unconscious and covered in bruises, bumps and cuts. Honesty was taken to the hospital, sent via helicopter to another hospital and died just two days later.

"Hospital staff determined Curry had severe skull damage, adult bite marks on her inner thigh, cuts on her throat and bruising all over her body.

Her skull was 'crushed' so bad that one crack went from one ear, over her head, to the ear on the other side. One fracture penetrated the thickest area of her skull and nearly reached her brain stem.

Golden and Wren initially said the injuries were accidents or self-inflicted.

The first, they said, took place in a hallway. Wren said she believed Honesty hit her head on a closet door. Wren said the next injury took place an hour later, when she hit her forehead against a wall after being made to stand in a corner as punishment.

But Wren later admitted to striking the girl twice on the buttocks with a leather belt as punishment, and said her boyfriend also struck the girl with an unknown object in the kitchen, causing the girl to fall to the floor.

Honesty's little sister told cops another story. She said that she was afraid of Wren and her father, and had seen Wren punch Honesty in the face, stomach and eye.

She went on to say that Wren was mean to Honesty but not her own two children.

'It should be noted that the two children sired by Wren and Golden had no injuries,' the arrest affidavit states.

The four-year-old girl stated that her father had also told her to lie to cops, saying that Honesty caused the injuries herself.

Cops got a search warrant and looked through the couple's apartment, finding traces of blood on a mop.

'The search revealed significant evidence that the interior of the residence had been cleaned prior to first responders entering the apartment,' the affidavit states. 'This included wet floors, cleaning products including Clorox beach, damp children’s clothes balled up and hidden under blankets.'

A neighbor told the Ledger that Wren told friends that she didn't care for Honesty. The neighbor said that Wren showed little emotion as paramedics arrived on the scene on Tuesday.

'She was sitting there like nothing was wrong with her,' the anonymous neighbor said, 'like nothing was bothering her.'

The neighbor also said that Honestly rarely left the house.

The couple are being held without bond at the Polk County Jail on charges of first-degree murder, aggravated manslaughter of a child and aggravated child abuse.

I don't even have words to express my sadness. No child should ever meet this type of end ESPECIALLY at the hands of a parent. Honesty's mother, Shatoya Curry, immediately retrieved her other daughter and Wren's two small children, ages 1 and 3, were placed with the Department of Children and Families. Wren is 7 months pregnant with her third child.
